A MESSAGE FROM
AFTAU PRESIDENT RONI KRINSKY

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our American Friends website.

While you're here, I hope you'll explore a bit, and learn why Tel Aviv University is so special and so important, not only to us, but to Israel, the rest of the world -- and to you.

You'll see that the work being done at TAU is breaking new ground every day. You'll find cutting-edge research in fields from nanobiotechnology to astronomy, from international law to environmental studies. You'll read about analytical scholarship and policy-making think tanks. And you'll learn about community-building that resonates throughout the region.

As the preeminent university in the only democratic country in the Middle East, TAU sets the standard in higher education -- but its influence extends far beyond academe. When we say that TAU is expanding the future, we know that it is helping to protect it, too, searching for solutions to regional challenges and contributing bold new philosophies to help strengthen our world.

Tel Aviv University's American Friends come from many traditions. Most don't visit Israel frequently. What they have in common is a lively intellectual curiosity and a desire to extend the boundaries of global knowledge to enhance, enrich and expand the future.

I invite you to get involved with our American Friends organization. You'll have the pleasure of congenial, cosmopolitan company in educational and cultural settings -- and you'll enjoy yourself while expanding your world view.

Thank you again for visiting our site. We hope to see you often!

Roni Krinsky
President
