DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR FOR FOUNDATION AND DONOR RELATIONS
(New York)

American Friends of Tel Aviv University seeks an organized, resourceful self-starter to research/write applications for grants from foundations and corporations, and to assist with donor recognition and correspondence.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director for Strategy and Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Writing:

  • Identify non-profit and corporate foundations that are good matches with projects at Tel Aviv University.
  • Generate letters of inquiry and build relationships with foundation officers.
  • Collaborate with Director and TAU staff/professors to assess university needs and refine proposal details.
  • Write grant proposals.
  • Maintain annual calendar for ongoing application deadlines including reporting requirements.

Donor Recognition and Correspondence:

  • Write correspondence to accompany periodic reports to donors.
  • Assist in developing and executing donor recognition initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.A./B.S.
  • Two-three years experience in a non-profit organization or fundraising environment.
  • Excellent writing skills and significant experience in grant writing.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge software and database management an asset.
  • Must be resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, a pleasant outgoing personality and a positive attitude.
