A packed room of Tel Aviv University alumni and friends at Gallery ONE Fort Lauderdale heard Prof. Miguel Weil, head of TAU's Laboratory for Neurodegenerative Diseases and Personalized Medicine, speak on personalized drugs and "orphan diseases." Prof. Weil's presentation was marked by exciting scientific innovation and given a touching dimension by his familial connection to the topic.
Guests enjoyed the opportunity to socialize at a delicious hors d'oeuvres reception. Introductory remarks were provided by Florida Alumni Leadership Committee member Meital Stavinsky, and hostess Ayelet Weinstein extended special gratitude to the event committee for their assistance.
