At a private reception for TAU's American Friends, hosted by Lester Pollack, Chairman of the International Board of Overseers for the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies, Prof. Asher Susser offered his unique insider's perspective on the Obama presidency and its significance for the ongoing peace process in the Middle East.

Prof. Susser, who is the Director for External Affairs of the Dayan Center, discussed the current status of the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, the two-state solution, and other front-page issues affecting the U.S./Israel partnership. Following his incisive analysis, he advised the attendees that, "as long as the resolution of the issues of borders, Jerusalem and refugees remained linked together, a final settlement to end the conflict will remain elusive." A lively discussion period followed his presentation.
