From San Francisco to the Gaza Border:
A Surgeon Goes to War

Dr. Nik Wolfson spoke to a rapt audience of American Friends of Tel Aviv University at a reception at the beautiful, art-filled home of Nancy Goldberg in Tiburon, CA.

Nik, a graduate of the Sackler Medical School and a member of the American Friends Board of Directors, described his experiences this summer when he volunteered to return to Israel to serve as an orthopedic surgeon during Operation Protective Edge.

Among the friends who attended were BOG and AFTAU national board member Dr. Murray Zucker and his wife Roberta; Luba Troyanovsky, board member of the JFCS; TAU alum Aaron Tartakovsky and his father Igor Tartakovsky; and AFTAU supporters artist Rita Blitt and her husband Irwin.
