Middle East Security Briefing

70 TAU alumni, friends, and AFTAU supporters gathered at the lovely home of Sonya and Howard Waldow in Beverly Hills to hear an insider briefing on Middle East security issues from Prof. Uzi Rabi, head of the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at TAU.

The Southern California Alumni Leadership Committee was represented by co-chairs Clark Hoover and Roy Balle as well as TAU alums Eva Tamir, Logan Lemberger, and Orna Yarzin. Among the American Friends were AFTAU board of directors members Ofer Alon and Michel Steinberger, who attended with his daughter, attorney Debra Steinberger-Raz, as well as AFTAU's President & CEO Gail Reiss and Western Region directors David Dorfman and Rosalie Lurie. Also present were Susanne and Dr. Robert Reyto, Dave and Suzanne Larky, Dr. Gabriel Rubanenko, Shuli and Efraim Katz, Esther Blaugrund, Harvey Grant, and Phyllis Abrams.

Following the lecture, the guests enjoyed more mingling, refreshments, and personal discussions amongst themselves, gratified by the ability to exchange opinions with Prof. Rabi and Moshe Dayan Center Intern and PhD candidate Carl Yonker.
