CLARK HOOVER, Southern California Chair, moved to Israel in 1997, a few years after earning his BA from UCLA. Israel was full of opportunity and challenge; and a stark contrast from his Jewish childhood in Indiana. Mr. Hoover served in the IDF, became a TAU graduate student, worked at a technology start-up and was the breaking news editor for Haaretz and Yedioth Ahronoth. He returned to Los Angeles in 2005 to get his MBA from UCLA, which he completed in 2008. Mr. Hoover worked for Goldman Sachs, before starting his own firm, Acacia Blue Asset Management, in 2010. He is now a wealth advisor for UBS.
