Israel in Short

More than 200 American Friends and TAU alumni packed the screening room at The JCC in Manhattan to celebrate Israel's 65th Independence Day with three short films from Tel Aviv University's acclaimed Department of Film and Television.

Lisa Noble, chair of the sold-out event and a member of AFTAU's New York Alumni Leadership Committee, opened the proceedings, recognizing TAU as one of the top film schools in the world. After the films, a Q&A session featured broadcast entertainment commentator Joanna Langfield;Yoav Hornung, director of Negative; Oren Hod, lead actor in Negative, and Lee Nechushtan, director of Dinner.

All proceeds from the event will support the New York Alumni Leadership Committee's fundraising campaign for the "Path to the University" program at Tel Aviv University.
