The Buchmann Faculty of Law

The Buchmann Faculty of Law is the leading legal academic institution in Israel. Former Dean Daphne Barak-Erez was selected to join the Israeli Supreme Court in 2012; and the TAU law review, Theoretical Inquiries in Law, is among the top three most-cited legal theory and jurisprudence journals in the world, first among non-US English-language journals (according to the Washington & Lee Ranking System). The law school faculty maintains strong institutional and personal ties with law schools at Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Northwestern and more. Its Ph.D. program brings some of the world’s greatest legal minds to teach in Israel and sends its own stellar researchers to the world’s top schools for advanced training. Joint LL.M. degrees with Northwestern and University of California, Berkeley provide additional opportunities for faculty and student exchange.
